At Erina Kindergarten, we believe that children learn best when they are encouraged to explore, ask questions, follow their interests, and discover the world around them.

Today, we are pleased to introduce Aastha, one of our dedicated educators working with our Preschool children. Aastha has been part of the Erina Kindergarten team for the past three years and is currently working towards becoming an Early Childhood Teacher (ECT).

Discovering a Passion for Early Childhood Education

During her time at Erina Kindergarten, Aastha has developed a genuine passion for early childhood education.

For her, one of the most rewarding parts of being an educator is watching children explore their environment and follow their natural curiosity. Every child develops at their own pace, and Aastha enjoys being part of that journey.

Seeing children discover something new, develop a skill, or gain confidence gives her an opportunity to learn and grow alongside them.

Following Children's Interests

Aastha believes that meaningful learning experiences begin with understanding what children are interested in.

By observing children's play, conversations, questions, and interactions, educators can gain valuable insights into what motivates and engages each child.

Aastha uses these observations to help plan experiences that connect with children's interests and support their developing skills.

Whether children are exploring a new concept, experimenting with materials, working together, or developing new abilities, these experiences provide opportunities for children to learn through curiosity and discovery.

Learning and Growing Together

One of the things Aastha values most about working with children is that educators are also constantly learning.

Every child brings different interests, personalities, experiences, and ways of learning. As children grow and develop, educators have opportunities to reflect on their practice, learn from each experience, and find new ways to support them.

For Aastha, this creates a continuous learning journey—not only for the children, but also for herself as an educator.

Supporting Preschool Learning

Working with Preschool children gives Aastha the opportunity to support their growing independence, confidence, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Through meaningful play-based experiences, children can develop the skills they need for their next stage of learning while continuing to explore the things that interest them.

Aastha enjoys creating experiences that allow children to participate actively, make choices, ask questions, and develop their own ideas.

Continuing Her Journey Towards Becoming an ECT

Aastha is currently working towards becoming an Early Childhood Teacher, continuing to build her knowledge and professional skills.

Her experience at Erina Kindergarten has helped strengthen her passion for early childhood education, and she looks forward to continuing to grow as an educator while supporting the children in her care.

We are proud to have Aastha as part of the Erina Kindergarten team and look forward to seeing her continue her professional journey.

At Erina Kindergarten, we believe that when educators continue to learn, children benefit from meaningful experiences that encourage them to explore, discover, and grow.
