Meet Miss Marcy: Inspiring Creativity and Connection in the Koala Room
At Erina Kindergarten, we believe children learn through meaningful experiences, creativity, play, and positive relationships. Our educators play an important role in creating these opportunities every day.
Today, we are pleased to introduce Miss Marcy, one of our educators in the Koala Room.
Continuing Her Early Childhood Education Journey
Marcy is currently completing her Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and is already looking forward to continuing her studies with a Diploma.
For Marcy, working in early childhood education is an opportunity to learn alongside children while supporting their development through engaging and enjoyable experiences.
Her commitment to continuing her education reflects the importance of ongoing professional learning within the early childhood sector.
Creating Through Arts and Crafts
One of Marcy's favourite parts of her role is setting up craft experiences for the children.
She enjoys planning creative activities that connect with the curriculum, children's interests, and special events throughout the year. These experiences give children opportunities to explore different materials, experiment with ideas, and express their creativity.
Arts and crafts can also support children's fine motor skills, concentration, confidence, and ability to communicate their ideas.
Making Learning Fun
Marcy also loves bringing plenty of energy and fun into the Koala Room.
One of her favourite activities is having dance parties with the children. These moments allow children to move, enjoy music, express themselves, and share positive experiences with their friends and educators.
For Marcy, learning doesn't always need to look like a traditional classroom activity. Sometimes, learning happens through movement, laughter, creativity, and simply enjoying time together.
Building Meaningful Connections
Alongside group activities, Marcy values one-on-one interactions with children.
These individual moments allow educators to get to know each child's personality, interests, and developing skills. They also provide opportunities for children to feel heard, supported, and connected.
Creating these positive relationships is an important part of building a nurturing early learning environment.
Looking Towards the Future
As Marcy continues her Certificate III and looks forward to completing her Diploma, she is excited to continue developing her knowledge and skills as an early childhood educator.
At Erina Kindergarten, we are proud to support educators as they grow professionally and develop their passion for working with children.
We look forward to watching Marcy continue her journey and seeing the many creative and meaningful experiences she brings to the Koala Room.
At Erina Kindergarten, our educators are continually learning, creating, and growing alongside the children in their care.
