At Erina Kindergarten, we are proud to celebrate the dedication, passion, and commitment of our educators. Today, we are delighted to recognise Miss Teya, who has been nominated for the Under 25 Educator Award at the EECE Excellence Awards.
This nomination is a wonderful recognition of Teya’s genuine passion for working with children and her commitment to making every learning experience meaningful.
A Passion for Supporting Children’s Growth
For Teya, one of the most rewarding parts of early childhood education is watching children learn, grow, and achieve new milestones.
She loves knowing that she can play a positive role in a child’s development, whether that means helping them learn a new skill, encouraging them to try something new, or simply being there to celebrate their achievements.
For Teya, every small step can be an important part of a child’s learning journey.
Learning Through Meaningful Interactions
Building positive relationships with children is central to Teya’s approach.
She believes that one of the best ways to connect with children is to genuinely get involved in their world. Rather than simply watching children play, Teya enjoys joining them and becoming part of their experiences.
If children are building a castle in the sandpit, you might find Teya right there beside them, digging, building, and sharing the experience. 🏖️
These interactions create opportunities for children and educators to communicate, collaborate, laugh, and learn together.
Getting to Know Every Child
Teya also places great value on getting to know children as individuals.
She enjoys asking children about their day, their weekend, their interests, and the things they enjoy doing outside of kindergarten. She also takes the time to learn about each child's family and the people who are important in their lives.
These everyday conversations may seem simple, but they help educators understand children's interests, personalities, and experiences.
By developing these genuine connections, Teya can create experiences that are more meaningful and engaging for each child.
Building Connections with Families
Strong relationships extend beyond the classroom.
Teya enjoys getting to know families and understanding the people who are part of each child's life. Building these connections helps create a stronger sense of community and allows educators and families to work together in supporting children's development.
At Erina Kindergarten, we value these partnerships and believe that communication between educators and families plays an important role in creating positive experiences for children.
Celebrating Teya’s Achievement
Being nominated for the Under 25 Educator Award at the EECE Excellence Awards is a wonderful milestone in Teya’s early childhood education journey.
Her hands-on approach, enthusiasm, and genuine interest in children's lives reflect the passion she brings to her role every day.
We are incredibly proud of Miss Teya and grateful for the energy and dedication she brings to Erina Kindergarten. We look forward to supporting her continued growth as an educator and celebrating all the wonderful experiences she creates with our children.
Congratulations, Miss Teya, on your EECE Excellence Awards nomination!
