At Erina Kindergarten, we believe that children learn best when they are encouraged to explore, create, and discover through meaningful play experiences. Our educators are passionate about providing engaging learning opportunities that support every child’s development and prepare them for future learning.
Elodie, one of our dedicated educators in the Bilbies Room, has been part of the Erina Kindergarten family for the past two years. During this time, she has recently completed her Diploma in Early Childhood Education and is excited to continue her professional journey as she works towards becoming an Early Childhood Teacher.
Learning Through Creativity
Elodie loves being creative with children and believes that creativity plays an important role in early childhood development. Through art, sensory experiences, dramatic play, and hands-on activities, children are encouraged to express themselves, solve problems, and build confidence in their abilities.
Creative experiences also provide opportunities for children to develop communication skills, social connections, and independence while having fun.
Exploring the World Through Animal Learning
One of the current learning interests in the Bilbies Room is animals. Children are actively engaged in experiences that help them learn about different animals, recognise animal characteristics, and identify animal sounds.
These experiences encourage curiosity and help children expand their knowledge about the world around them. Through books, discussions, songs, play experiences, and hands-on activities, children are developing language skills while exploring topics that genuinely interest them.
Building Foundations for School Readiness
At Erina Kindergarten, school readiness is embedded throughout our daily program. Elodie is passionate about supporting children’s early literacy and numeracy development through play-based experiences that are both engaging and meaningful.
Children participate in activities that promote:
Early language and communication skills
Number recognition and counting
Problem-solving and critical thinking
Listening and concentration skills
Independence and confidence
Social and emotional development
By integrating these learning opportunities into everyday play, children are able to develop essential skills in a supportive and enjoyable environment.
Growing, Learning, and Discovering Together
Watching children learn new skills, explore new concepts, and grow in confidence is one of the most rewarding aspects of early childhood education. At Erina Kindergarten, our educators are committed to creating nurturing learning environments where every child feels supported, valued, and inspired to learn.
Through creativity, exploration, and play-based learning, we help children build strong foundations for lifelong learning while enjoying every step of their early childhood journey.
